Personal Data
Under U.S. data protection laws and equivalent regulations, personal data refers to any information that relates to or can identify an individual. This includes, but is not limited to, names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.
Collection of Personal Data
We take all reasonable steps to ensure that the handling of personal data is secure and compliant with applicable regulations for visitors to our website.
The website can be used without providing personal data. However, full use of our services may require the collection and processing of such data.
Any data input or uploads to the Hilgenberg-Ceramics Inc. website are entirely voluntary.
Purpose of Data Collection
The collection, use, processing, and storage of your personal data primarily serve the purpose of contact and order processing, such as creating quotes. Your data will never be sold or shared with third parties.
If it becomes necessary to share personal data with our business partners to fulfill an order or provide a quote, explicit permission will be obtained from the user.
Anonymized Data
When visiting our website, general information (log files) about the visitor is automatically collected. This data includes details such as the browser type, internet provider, operating system, and date and time of access. These general data points do not identify individuals. This processing is necessary to ensure the website’s functionality and security, including protecting against potential attacks.
When using the upload function for geometry data, your IP address is not recorded. This ensures no link exists between your IP address and the uploaded 3D file. Only metadata such as surface area and volume are extracted from the file for pricing purposes. The uploaded file itself is deleted at the end of the session. It is impossible to reconstruct the original file from the extracted metadata.
Electronic Communication
If you contact us via email or the contact form, you are presumed to consent to our data protection terms. The contact form requires a valid email address, while other fields, such as phone numbers, are optional and used only for clarifications if provided.
